Are you frustrated feeling stuck in a body that’s holding you back?
The Problem with Traditional Health Care Treatments
Focused only on managing symptoms, not addressing the root cause
Exercise plans consist of generic, non-personalized routines
Limited time with healthcare providers leads to lack of individualized care
Running injuries can be overwhelming and filled with uncertainty.

Let us help you find it.
At Zero Point One, you’ll get:

Improve your posture and learn to move “smarter”.
Running Injuries We Treat
We see runners at every level. Training for a first 5K, chasing a marathon PR, or just trying to get through weekly mileage without flaring something up. Common conditions we treat include:
IT Band Syndrome: sharp, nagging pain on the outside of the knee that flares mid-run
Shin Splints: pain along the shinbone, often from a sudden increase in mileage
Runner's Knee (Patellofemoral Pain): aching around or behind the kneecap, especially on stairs or downhill running
Plantar Fasciitis: heel and arch pain, worst with the first steps in the morning
Hip Pain From Running: often tied to weakness or imbalance elsewhere in the chain
Stress Reactions & Stress Fractures: overuse injuries needing a careful, progressive return-to-running plan
Running Injuries Can Heal.
See below for examples of people who we’ve helped overcome running injuries and are running marathons!
Your body has a miraculous way of healing when given the right environment.
A Complete Approach: Manual Therapy, Movement, and Strength
Most runners have lived this cycle: physical therapy calms the pain down, you get discharged, and a few months later it's back. That usually happens when treatment stops at pain relief and never gets to what's underneath it.
Our approach addresses all of it together. Hands-on manual therapy and a full-body assessment identify what's actually driving the injury. Posture and movement retraining corrects the patterns behind it. And for many runners, building strength in the hips, glutes, and core, in our private gym, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, is the piece that makes the results last, rather than fading once treatment ends.
This is also why a number of the runners we work with aren't currently injured at all. They come in to build strength and durability ahead of marathon or half-marathon training, as one part of staying ahead of injury, not as a standalone fix.

What People Are Saying
FAQs
How long is each session?
Each initial evaluation and follow up treatment sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes.
What should I expect from my first session?
When you first arrive at Zero Point One Physical Therapy, you will be greeted by someone at the front desk, who will help you check in for your appointment. At your scheduled time, you will be greeted and we will bring you back to our treatment room.
During the initial evaluation, we will begin with a conversation to gain a clear understanding of the problem and goals during our time together. Along with a detailed assessment of your full-body, we will create a treatment strategy personalized to you, which leads us into treatment.
How is Zero Point One different than other types of therapies?
We approach the body as a whole, with the idea that everything is connected. We combine your diagnosis/condition and overall body alignment to specific joint and soft tissue mobility and the quality of how you move and posture yourself. This serves as a foundation to build a treatment strategy to not only improve your pain but to address the root cause of your pain to create lasting results.
Do you take insurance? And, how will I be reimbursed?
Our services may be covered by your insurance provider depending on your out-of-network medical care. We can help check your insurance coverage; just click “Check Coverage” at the top and we will get back to you with your benefits.
As a courtesy, we will file your claim to your insurance for reimbursement after each visit. You will be reimbursed directly from your insurance company according to your out-of-network benefits.
Many clients choose to pay using FSA/HSA dollars.
What is “manual therapy”?
“Manual therapy” is a powerful, hands-on treatment that physical therapists utilize in order to improve mobility, flexibility and even the healing capacity of your entire body. Physical therapists are uniquely trained to assess and evaluate your body and correlate those findings to the appropriate treatment, such as manual therapy.
It includes but is not limited to soft tissue mobilizations, myofascial release, joint mobilization, manipulation, and percussion.
What’s the difference between massage and “manual therapy”?
Massage is a popular form of relief when dealing with tension, tightness and pain. And, while we advocate for people to regularly get massages for its many benefits, manual therapy can give you a more detailed approach to your hands-on treatment, especially when there is a problem with recurring tension/tightness or pain.
Hands-on techniques are often not effective with only temporary relief, and potentially even damaging, if utilized without a clear understanding of the diagnosis.
Do I need a doctor’s prescription or referral to start PT?
No. According to New York state law, anyone can see a physical therapist through Direct Access without a physician prescription or referral.
What is your payment policy?
We are a fee-for-service, out-of-network physical therapy clinic. This means that payment is due at the time of service. You will be reimbursed directly from your insurance company depending on your out-of-network benefits.
